Anani

Anani carries the texture of a Sequoia around the finger. Its wave-like band is hand engraved to echo the living bark of those enormous trees, then touched with four small white diamonds that glint like light through the forest.

The sculptural shank moves from approximately 3.50mm to 1.60mm as it contours the hand, giving the bark texture room to be seen while narrowing toward the center. About 0.034 carats of accent diamonds are used sparingly, so the surface and silhouette remain the true focus.

Anani is for the person who collects places as much as things. She remembers trips by the texture of the landscape, would rather have a meaningful detail than an obvious flourish, and likes the idea that her engagement ring can carry a little piece of the natural world with her.
