Mariposa has the presence of an heirloom before it has ever been passed down. A radiant center sits in double claw prongs above a tapered band layered with two rows of pavé, delicate filigree and hand engraving.
The hand engraving is where Mariposa moves from ornate to genuinely rare. An artisan cuts each flourish directly into the metal with a graver, guiding a sharpened tool by hand to create depth, shadow and line one stroke at a time. It is a traditional jewelry art practiced by fewer and fewer craftspeople, and the engraving alone can require a full day at the bench. Combined with approximately 0.204 carats of pavé and fine filigree, that carved surface gives the 1.75mm band at its narrowest a richness that machine-made texture simply cannot duplicate.
