The band tapers from approximately 2.0mm to 1.80mm, giving the alternating stones enough room to read as individual shapes. Approximately 0.443 carats of colorless VS diamonds bring substantial sparkle to the design while the oval preserves a long, elegant center line.
The leaf detailing on the prongs is carved by hand with a graver—a small, razor-sharp engraving tool controlled entirely by the artisan. True hand engraving is a dying art in jewelry, and very few craftspeople remain who can execute details this fine. The engraving alone can require a full day at the bench, with each cut adding depth and crispness that cannot be achieved by simply reproducing a pattern mechanically.
