Astrid looks as though a vine curled itself around a round diamond. The band widens and narrows organically, its bark texture hand engraved into the metal, while two blue-green sapphires add small flashes of woodland color beside the center.
The band ranges from approximately 5.0mm to 1.60mm, making its changing scale part of the design. Around 0.08 carats of sapphires punctuate the sculptural shank, and their natural color variation ensures that no two versions feel exactly alike.
True hand engraving is one of the increasingly rare bench arts in jewelry.
