Luu - Aquamarine

Luu carries a piece of the Sequoias in its surface. A pear-shaped aquamarine rises from a hand-carved band whose deep bark texture was inspired by the monumental trees of Sequoia National Park.

The cool, watery blue of the aquamarine creates a beautiful counterpoint to the rugged texture beneath it: delicate color against a band that feels almost carved from nature. The shank narrows dramatically from approximately 7.40mm to 1.55mm, giving the ring sculptural presence while drawing the eye toward the pear-shaped center. Handmade in New York, Luu feels less like a conventional engagement setting and more like a small landscape wrapped around the finger.

Luu belongs to someone who wants her ring to feel like a place, not just a piece of jewelry. She is adventurous, sentimental about landscapes and unafraid of color; a conventional diamond solitaire was probably never going to tell enough of her story.
