Stephen and I began as coworkers working at bed bath and beyond. We were both 22 and I was finishing up my senior year of college. We would talk at work when we could until finally he gave me his number in February of 2020. We were chatting nonstop for a weeks until we finally went on our first date and I remember never wanting our date to end! We went to a local diner and chatted for hours. We could sense the servers wanted us to get moving so we went to our local airport to continue chatting and watch the planes. We began dating March 3rd, 2020 - two weeks before the COVID lock down!

 

Stephen and I had been to local jewelers to get an idea of what we were looking for. I was constantly sending him rings I had come across on Pinterest and through Instagram ads. When I first found Ken and Dana Designs, I became obsessed. I had never seen such beautiful designs. In December of 2023, we went to the showroom in NYC and met Lauren who helped us really narrow down what we were looking for. Lauren was an instrumental part of our process and helped Stephen design my dream ring!

 

Every year for our anniversary, we plan a weekend trip together. This year, Stephen took the planning on himself. I didn’t know where we were going or what we were doing until the day we left! He took me to NYC and made my dream weekend a reality: we stayed at the Plaza hotel, saw a broadway show, went to the Met and finally he proposed to me at Belvedere Castle in Central Park on our fourth anniversary. It was the most beautiful day- sunny and 60s at the beginning of March!

 

We cannot thank Ken and Dana Designs enough for everything - from the incredible experience in the showroom, to the design process and finally the proposal. I love my ring so much and have been getting compliments since it was put on my finger!
