In our words:
Kira and I met in August of 2020 in downtown Chicago when I hosted some friends at my apartment. As soon as Kira walked in, I turned to our mutual friend and asked, “Is she single?”. He gave the green light, I promptly introduced myself and we haven’t missed a beat since.
Over the course of the next three years we’ve lived an extremely blessed and action packed life. In May of 2022 we moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and started a completely new chapter. To this day the first things we bonded over; friends, music, Harry Potter, the outdoors, family, and faith are still at the core of who we are together. Throughout our relationship we always referenced, “Growing our Garden” and always enjoying the amazing life we are able to build together.
While we were living in Chicago we went to St. Michael’s Church in Old Town every Sunday and it holds a special place in our hearts for many reasons. So, I always knew I wanted to propose at St. Mike’s. In September of 2023 we were heading home to Chicago and I had my opportunity. The entire church service I kept my jacket on (despite there being no A/C) because the ring was in my pocket. Somehow, Kira had no idea what was coming and I was able to surprise her with her beautiful custom Astrid from KDD.
Ken and Dana Design was able to perfectly capture Kira and I’s love story into a ring.Throughout our relationship we always referenced, “Growing our Garden” and always enjoying the amazing life we are able to build together. As I was ring shopping I always knew I wanted to incorporate nature into the band.
Between the intricate vine band, the oval diamond and the stunning Montana Sapphires, we couldn’t be happier. What KDD was able to create for us took our breath away and will forever be a perfect representation of our life. We can’t thank KDD enough for this amazing ring!
