In our words:

We met freshman year of high school — I had just moved and one of my first friends at school introduced us. In the 12 years since, we moved cross country to New York for college, supported each other in school and our careers, and found our chosen family here in the city.

For the proposal, Evan knew I would want the moment to be low-key and shared with our closest friends, so he planned an intimate dinner at one of our favorite neighborhood pizza spots (with the help of our friend/ photographer, Marilyn), and popped the question just as the pies had come out. The team at Ken and Dana was great to work with from start to finish when it came to creating an engagement ring that felt totally ours, and they even sent videos of the ring stacked with specific bands when I inquired about them after our appointment.
