How we met:

We met 7 years ago when we were both working at a wine bar in DC. About one month after we had met and became friends, we were out with a few of our friends and the bartender continued to put my drinks on Danny's tab without anyone asking (he considered himself a bit of a matchmaker). When I went to correct the mistake, Danny chimed in that he was happy to cover the tab, as long as I would agree to go on a lunch date with him the next day. We met for coffee and spent nearly 5 hours chatting away - and the rest was history! Since then, we've lived in two cities, moved to three different apartments, adopted two fur babies and traveled to six countries together - and we wouldn't change a single moment!

After looking at a few other jewelers, we went to look at rings at Ken & Dana Design given their commitment to ethical and eco-friendly practices, their beautiful, unique pieces and the genuine appreciation from their customers that could be seen in all of the testimonials and posts. As soon as we stepped into the showroom, we knew they were the ones we wanted to work with.  

Our engagement story:

Since we had been together for a long time, Danny wanted to make the moment extra special. We had a trip planned to visit a few of our close friends in Paris over my (Carley's) birthday, and Danny thought it would be the perfect opportunity to pop the question. He worked with our friend who is a French native to find the perfect spot - the rose garden and chateau at Parc Bagatelle - and after a day of art exhibits and croissants, Danny proposed. We followed the moment with a rooftop champagne toast with our friends, and ended the evening with a boat cruise that Danny reserved to take us down the Seine at sunset.
