Larissa and I met in the great city of Somerville, Massachusetts at a small bar called "The Burren" while she was with some friends and I had to get to know her. We had our first date near where she was living at the time in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts.
Fun fact: when she first showed me her apartment and her cat, I thought I should have run away, but here we are now 4 years later with 2 cats who I enjoy very much.
Picking out the ring was the easiest part of my proposal process mainly because Larissa had shown her friends months in advance that if I were to propose she would want something like this. So I did the most logical thing, just had to call KDD and talk to their team about it since I may have waited a month before I was going to propose (so sorry about that) and added that sucker to my cart and boom done.
Next was planning the big day. Luckily I had the best team in my corner. I had my best friend Jonathan and Larissa's best friends, Ashley, Yolianna, and Sam help me plan everything from the location of Pine Point Beach in Old Orchard, Maine to planting all 200 roses and candles in the sand.
The hardest part was actually transporting Larissa to the beach on July 3rd for a fake sunset dinner/pictures with friends. She was super suspicious, because I have never asked her to go somewhere earlier to take pictures and especially not sunset ones. Of course, on our car ride to the beach, Larissa had to stop multiple times for the bathroom and somehow got a blister in her eye all while in the back of my head I knew we were running out of time. Luckily, we finally made it to the beach with 15 mins to spare and some pink skies which were perfect. Funny enough, since she could barely see anything due to her eye I got to surprise her with the spot that everyone had set up and her reaction was priceless. This led to an unbelievable 4th of July weekend with friends and family and the Happiest of Fiances.
