Grayson and I met in 2020 and started dating in 2021. We are both avid travelers—we’ve explored a ton of places together so far—and Cannon Beach has been on our North America “bucket list” places for a few years. On a whim we decided to book a last minute trip to Cannon Beach, pretty much booking everything only a month out; little did I know he already had purchased a ring from Ken and Dana 6 months prior!
Our journey to Oregon had some hiccups with flight delays, missed reservations, but when we did finally arrive we were just so in awe of the area, which is so much different than our Texas desert home environment.
Grayson rushed me to get ready and go for “just a walk” at the beach to see Haystack Rock and although I started to grow suspicious, I played along. Despite my suspicions, I had no idea how much thought and planning he had put into our proposal.
The flowers, the photographer! Everything was just beautiful. To top it off was the gorgeous ring, which I had always wanted a very intricate and unique ring, and K&D’s rings always spoke to me. Every time I look at it on my finger I am reminded how wonderful and thoughtful my soon-to-be husband is.
