In their words:

Cristina and I met online in February 2024 when we realized we had mutual friends. We made the connection after reading about each other’s personal interests and what we each were looking for. We both reached out to our mutual friends for questions and validation. We decided to go on a date and hit it off so well I asked to see her again the next day.

It didn’t take long and we knew we had something special. I soon met her family on a vacation that summer to Frankfort, where they welcomed me in like I was one of them. Throughout the year we managed to meet several other close friends and family on both sides and even traveled internationally to explore and deepen our connection. During our first summer, Cristina showed me a ring from Ken and Dana and said “this is the one” and I tucked that in my save for later folder and would reach back later.

I purchased the ring in April of 2025 after my birthday weekend where both our kids had a great weekend at an indoor water park. I knew she was the one and wanted to make this moment special. Her whole family was meeting in Frankfort for a week in the summer I knew this was my chance. I spoke to her parents first, than sister and then everyone else. Cristina knew something was coming and was getting excited. After a group photo session, we all made some room at the pier where the lighthouse graces the town and I asked her to marry me. She said yes and absolutely adores the ring she chose a year prior.
