We originally met our senior year of high school back in 2016 at a national track meet, and she was so shy that she ran away. Fast forward a few months later to freshman year of college and once we actually met, we became the best of friends. We were practically inseparable our entire time at college and while we were just friends, everyone thought we were together.

 

Everything changed Valentine’s Day of 2020, when I confessed my feelings to her and asked her to be my valentine, which she eagerly accepted. We’ve been happily in love ever since. April of 2025 officially marked our 5-year anniversary and we celebrated with a week in Aruba. And to her surprise, I proposed on April 12th and we are now officially engaged and planning the rest of our lives together.
