Claire and I met when we were 18 years old and freshmen in college. We were both theatre majors and working on the props crew for the musical, Cabaret! Every night we had to mix food coloring with water to make fake alcohol and Claire and I would always tease each other over who could make the better alcohol. We gravitated toward one another at parties and social gatherings and eventually we sealed the deal and started dating! Even though we were young, we both knew quite early that we were going to be together forever. We’ve grown up together and have changed a lot over the years, but through the years it was never a question that we would experience life together.
We got engaged on a picnic while on vacation in Europe followed by a romantic boat ride.We designed the ring together at Ken & Dana which was so special and romantic. It didn’t take any element of the surprise away from the engagement and Claire was still in awe when she saw the ring for the first time!
