Charlie and I are high school sweethearts. We have been together for almost 10 years, and he proposed on December 28th, 2022. We are both huge outdoor people and go camping every minute we get. One of our favorite places to camp is Bishop, California. In the wintertime, the mountains are topped with snow making them look magical. We had this camping trip planned to Bishop, and that is where he proposed.

On the day of the proposal, the mountains were gorgeous, and it was a blue, sunny day. Charlie had asked me to take a photo with him with the mountain in the background, and after we took the photo, he had a little speech of how he couldn’t wait to spend forever together and how he is the luckiest guy and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It honestly couldn’t have been more perfect!

When I was researching engagement rings, I wanted something unique and something that represented not just me but what we love, and that is nature. When I came across Ken & Dana Design, I immediately knew I needed one of the nature-designed rings with leaves. Charlie was the one that picked the one he liked best, and it was perfect. The ring I got was the Lebow Pear ring. I will also be in New York before our wedding to pick out a band to accompany it. We didn’t have a photographer with us because we go to very secluded places to camp, so our camera, GoPro, and iPhone photos did the job.
