In our words:

A little backstory on how it all went down...

In November, we were planning to travel from South Florida to Palm Springs to attend a good friend of mine's wedding and after that we planned to extend our trip and spend some days in Joshua Tree.

I knew I wanted to ask Gaby to marry me when we were in Joshua Tree so I worked with KDD to design the engagement ring with just enough time to get it created and delivered before we left. We had a great time in Palm Springs and the wedding was beautiful so it was setting up nicely for my plans.

Our first day in the park we did so much and it was a magical day. My plan was to propose at the top of Inspiration Peak while the sun was setting and away from the rest of the crowd watching the sunset from Keys View. It was the end of a long day of hiking and climbing giant boulders, while we were hiking up to the peak I could tell Gaby was getting tired but I kept pushing to get us there. It was pretty chilly out and she had come down with a cold and wasn't feeling the best but she kept going for me cuz she knew I really wanted to get to the top.

Well, we made it and we were having a nice moment talking about some things and enjoying the scenery. It was then that I pulled out the ring and asked her to marry me. She was extremely surprised but to my delight she said YES! We were so happy, we hugged each other and both cried tears of joy. It was a moment and trip we will never forget.
