Location: Sailboat off Waikiki, Hawaii

Long story short: we met in Shanghai airport.

I was interrogated by Chinese authorities for over 4 hours on my first stop in China. I was a bit nervous on top of anxiety with my next flight to Shanghai. Once flight landed I noticed one other American, holding her US passport, and I approached to ask some questions about her travel if she encountered anything that I experienced. Well, we had a nice long chat until we departed onto our next flights and from that day, we kept in touch as friends over the phone for many months, then it turned into a romance, and later I moved to Hawaii. Five years later, I proposed to her on a sailing boat during our sunrise sail in Waikiki.

I chose KDD to custom design my ring because of the unique detailed customizations, designs, and their ability to make the design feel special, personal, and original. My fiancé is very happy with her ring.
